International Sand Art Festival – Chandrabhaga Beach, Konark
International Sand Art Festival at Chandrabhaga Beach, Konark, is going to conduct by Tourism Department of Odisha in between 1st-5th December 2019. Chandrabhaga Beach is located at a distance of 3 km from Konark temple. Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik is appointed as Brand Ambassador for the International Sand Art Festival 2019.
This is an event for those people who are in love with sand creations. Sand art festival is a part of Konark dance festival that is organized during the same time. The International Sand Art Festival was started in 2015 which will help to promote Odisha tourism in International Level and increase tourist foot fall in Konark.

Interested artists and sand art lovers are welcomed to Jagannath City Puri to participate in this festival. As many as 30 Indian and 10 foreign artists are expected to participate here. The best artist will win a prize of INR 100,000.

Konark Sun Temple
It is symbol of India’s heritage and a eminent tourists attraction place. The first rays of the sun fall on the entrance of the temple and three images of the Sun God at three different sides of the temple, positioned in such a direction that they catch the rays of the sun at morning, noon and evening.
Konark Sun temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered as one among the tourist places to visit in Puri.
Chandrabhaga Sea Beach
Chandrabhaga sea beach – Close to world heritage site “Konark Temple” is famous for catching beautiful sunrise and sunset over here. This beach is famous for serene, clean and beautiful soft sands, and first to get the Blue Flag certification which attracts a count less international tourists to Puri.
Ramachandi Temple
Ramachandi is believed as the presiding deity of Konark and more ancient than Konark Sun temple. This is a lovely beach front temple devoted to the goddess. All the visitors to Konark generally visit this place. Kushabhadra river flows in to Bay of Bengal here and is call as mouth of Kushabhadra is famous for picnic spot.
