Shri Gaur bihar ashram or Gupta Vrindavan Puri Odisha is also known as Mata matha. This matha is well decorated, maintained, calm and quiet also very peaceful.

Main temple of this matha is about 150 years old. This is about 4km from Swargadwar in Puri and famous for different deities statues placed here. If you are a lover of photography then this is the right place where you get wonderful sculptures of tales from our “Puran”.

About Shree Gaur bihar ashram
This ashram is named after Gouranga saint. According to Chaitanya Charitamrut book Sri Chaitanya Dev was staying in this place located alongside the Trithraj Mahodadhi and engrossed in meditation. He founded “Goudiya Vaishnav tradition”. His disciple Rama Dasi was also performing meditation and bhajan in the ashram. The present mahant Subal Charan Das had renovated it and performing mutt rituals.
