According to local people Tulasi Das, the famous author of Rama Charita Manasa, visited and stayed here for sometime when he visited Puri.

Presiding deity Lord Siddha Mahavir Famous for the idol of a five-faced Hanuman. Various postures of Lord Hanuman like Bali, Sugriv, Jambhu Bhana, Suesena, and Angada carved in this temple.

According to local people these postures are considered as asta-mallas and believed to be the advisers of lord Rama during the time when he was on his way to save Goddess Sita from Demon King Ravana.

In front of the temple there is a beautiful pond where devotees wash their hands and feets before entering into the temple. There is a kitchen houses in the temple complex. In many occasions local people make get together and celebrates functions.

In many Festivals like Makara Sankranti, Rama Navami, Dola Purnima devotes gathered here, they pray in this temple, offer puja and darshan with great interest.
